Acts 8:35-37 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.   As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?”

I am so impressed with Phillip’s presence and contextualizing the very moment and place he found himself in.   His proclamation of the ‘Good News’ was not a canned approach, but rather one that first ‘listened’ to what the Ethiopian was facing, and then took that and used it to talk about Jesus.   The Ethiopian believes in Jesus, looks up and sees some water and wants to get baptized.    WOW!

There is nothing that pleases a Father more than immediate obedience.  Delayed obedience is always disobedience.    The man felt the Spirit of God saying something to him and he responded obediently.   What is God asking of you?  Have you been obedient?   Let’s please the Lord today with our immediate Obedience.
