About Chaim O'Deens

Wassup everybody, it’s Chi! My full name is Chaim Joseph, which means ‘to add to life’ and that has become my passion and mission. A couple years ago, I was in a life-threatening motorcycle accident where I experienced God. He reminded me that life should not be taken for granted and that the people surrounding me desperately need the same life I have been so graciously gifted! As I continue to experience God in my own life, I have accepted the call to love people. I am excited to be a director of one of God’s movements in the city. My burning desire is working diligently to unleash an army of truth into the cities of the world while holistically serving people through local churches! Check out more about what God is doing in the city and my life on my blog and follow me on twitter! Feel free to shoot me an email at anytime, I would love to chat!

Setting Goals We’ve all done it before. We go into the new year with big hopes and dreams and with new goals, and then we fail to actually follow through and DO what we intended. The reason is simple. We forget and fail to pray and plan! Planning is critical. Prayer is essential! Those with [...]

God Provides For Your NEEDS So many times we plead for God to give us our desires while he is busy caring for our needs. Then we get confused as to why God didn’t give us what we asked for. And, we use God as a punching bag for not giving us our desires. Little [...]

It's Not Culture Versus The Bible... Culture might tell you that you need a certain degree in order to be a missionary or be a certified pastor, but the Bible does not. The Bible tells you point-blank what you need to do in order to be a missionary or a pastor. Make disciples. That’s in [...]

I’m not called to be a pastor. I can’t plant a church. I’m not holy enough to be a missionary. I don’t have my degree. I didn’t go to school for that. I’m a nobody. I don’t have anything of value for anyone… Even if I did, they wouldn’t listen to me. I don’t have [...]

Cynical Church

By |2018-09-11T16:43:31+00:00September 11th, 2018|Uncategorized|

Dear Church, Cynicism is a problem. Cynicism is a sin. Where is your faith? Didn't you count the cost? The local church's inability to do better than collaborate together, and partner has created the cynical church. Local church's have become cynical towards one another. Our lack of trust... our unbelief... our doubt... is killing the [...]

If Jesus Had Instagram…

Culture Shift I remember when I was in elementary and middle school, social media didn’t even exist. Not that it wasn’t on the rise, but it didn’t exist for me. Friends meant people that I hung out with… people I saw and had physical interaction with. The physical presence directly correlated to who were my [...]

Complacent Church Why is it that we try walking humbly with God without doing anything? Why is it that we want God's grace for ourselves but want God's wrath for everyone else? Why do we try to love God, but not love people? For the longest time, I would go to church and do the [...]

What’s Your Dream for 2018?

By |2018-06-14T15:21:59+00:00January 4th, 2018|Leadership|

Dreamer... Your vision is obscured by fiercely falling snow and frozen breath. In your peripherals you detect movement. Pupils dilate. Muscles tighten. Adrenaline shivering up your spine. Hearts pumping. It's a prowling lion stalking its prey, you. What is your response? Are you fearfully running? Or, are you courageously chasing it down? This paints a [...]

Take Flight

By |2018-01-03T15:23:58+00:00January 3rd, 2018|Missions|

While working at home, this bird flew into the glass sliding door and knocked itself out. I helped get it back on its feet and off its wing. It decided to stay with me for some time. Then off it flew. Learning to fly is hard. We have to take the risk and jump into [...]
