Breathe Communities
Worship. Community. Mission.
What is a Microchurch?
A microchurch is a biblical community of believers experiencing the presence of Jesus (worship) who are sent out as a spiritual family to pursue and implement His mission in the world.
The Greek word translated “church” is ecclesia, which literally means “called out ones.” It is used to describe a gathering or an assembly of believers. The word “gathering” is not exclusive to a modern-day Church building. It is God’s people coming together to experience His presence and carry out His mission. That gathering includes all kinds of spaces; in buildings, in open space and in digital/online space.
The microchurch is an extended spiritual family, led by ordinary people, who live in everyday Gospel community, and own the mission of Jesus in a network of relationships.
Phygital Community
The missional community that has the potential to reach the growing population of billions with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus.
The energy and synergy of bringing physical and digital community together and making them friends rather than foes.
We believe that equipping is two-fold, disciple making and development. Discipleship happens through intentionality in relationships, teaching people to follow wholeheartedly after God, while simultaneously developing and deploying ministry and leadership expertise.
Phygital Church does not do life alone. It doesn’t view a church service in isolation from others. The Phygital Church is an expression of the Church as a biblical community of believers who choose to worship by doing life and mission together in person and online.
