Dan O’Deens, Executive Director
Dan is a visionary architect who understands leadership and creativity and has the ability to see dreams become fully implemented and multiplied. He is committed to holistically caring for people’s physical and spiritual needs. Dan’s greatest desire is to see justice and redemption played out in our world…to redeem desecrated space and make it sacred. His message is to “Breathe Life” and “Stop Doing Wrong and to DO Justice.”
Dan has served in lead roles on the front lines of America’s greatest crisis’…9-11 and Hurricane Katrina. Haiti’s earthquake opened the doors to see a movement of God holistically care for the country of Haiti. His passion for developing young leaders is evident in the organization that he leads. He is a life coach and speaker for churches, conferences and seminars. His greatest desire is the success of others (especially NOW generation leaders).
Dan was the founding pastor of Gateway Church and founding director of CPR-3/Breathe Partners. He is the president of Lavi Partners, Inc., a “business as mission” enterprise that assists the poor and works to eradicate malnutrition. He is the founder of the International School of Justice Bible Institute in Haiti and the founder of CompassionCorp a 3-year program preparing young adults for world missions.
Gabrielle Paige Stepan, Administrative Assistant and Experience Director
As our Experience Director, Gabrielle coordinates trips, events and conferences as well as acting as Partner Liaison. Gabrielle also serves as our office communication and administration.
Susi Vermillion, Child Sponsorship Coordinator
Susi is our Child Sponsorship Coordinator overseeing the sponsorship opportunity between partners, individuals, the Haitian church, and the sponsored children.
Cassidy Anderson, Breathe Haiti Intern
Cassidy is Compassion Corp student who recently graduated from The Ohio State University. She loves people – hearing and knowing their stories, simply being with them, and creating art inspired by what she learns from them.
Isken Cosip, Breathe Haiti Intern
Isken came to love Christ in the summer of 2014 and, as a disciple, was called to serve through different ministries like prison ministry and short term missions. It was through serving that he decided to move to Haiti and join the Breathe Partners team. Isken was an active singer/songwriter in the Columbus music scene, something that he will be bringing to Haiti to worship God.
Mekayla Deffenbaugh, Breathe Haiti Intern
Mekayla is from Rittman Ohio, and from a young age she knew that she wanted to spend her life serving in ministry on a global scale. She is excited to work with Compassion Corp, and use the gifts, and passion that God has given her to help others in need.
Alyssa Goad, Breathe Haiti Intern
Alyssa is a student from Pickerington, OH who will graduate in June 2017, right before flying to Haiti to start living on the ground with the Compassion Corp 1 Year program. A CIT alumni, Alyssa loves bringing humor and joy to relationships while also passionately pursuing learning how to wisely & sustainably be a part of spaces transforming. She is passionate with children’s ministry & thinks outside of the box with a passion for creativity.
Noah Hazlerig, Compassion Corp Student
Noah, an 18 year old from Pickerington, Ohio, chose to be a part of CompassionCorp to fully surrender to God and God’s purpose for Noah’s life. Noah spends most of his time outdoors, a lifestyle that he’ll integrate to living in Haiti with our team.
Leah Hill, Compassion Corp Student
Leah, a 19-year-old from Pickerington, OH, is a three-year CompassionCorp student. After visiting with an experience team, she felt called to missions long term and will be on the ground in June 2017. Leah has the heart for people with special needs and plans to integrate that into her time in Haiti.
